Wings of Inspiration egg-cited for Easter
'We really want to provide them with decent food and treats to celebrate the holiday.'
Easter is around the corner, which for many families means a long weekend of Easter egg hunts, hot cross buns and a succulent Easter Sunday roast.
Unfortunately not every family has the privilege of participating in these long-standing traditions. That’s why Wings of Inspiration, a Christian NPC with centres all over the West Rand decided to support their beneficiaries during the upcoming hoppy holiday.
According to NPC Director, Anthea Da Costa, they currently support 204 individuals either at their sober house, shelter, two daycare centres, old age home, frail care centre or soup kitchen which are all based in either Roodepoort, Krugersdorp or Randfontein.
We also support about ten families with food parcels on a monthly basis, or whenever they come to us for help. We believe that all these individuals deserve a little something for Easter as well,” she explained.
Anthea said all of their centres’ beneficiaries could expect a special visit from the Easter Bunny during the Easter weekend. However, she won’t be able to do it without the community’s help.
Therefore she appeals to community members to donate items and products such as pre-loved clothing, food, Easter eggs, chocolate and hot cross buns, to name just a few.
