Westgold athlete part of Gauteng West (D2) District Athletics team

Grade 4 Westgold Primary learner Samkelisiwe Hadebewho was selected for the Gauteng West (D2) District Athletics team and will soon be competing in the 70m hurdles for girls U/10 at the Provincial Athletics Championship.

Westgold Primary School is super proud of one of their athletes who is accomplishing great things.

School spokesperson Mariska du Plessis said Grade 4 learner Samkelisiwe Hadebe participated in the Gauteng West (D2) Championship at Hoƫrskool Noordheuwel on Tuesday, February, 22.

Sam qualified and is now a member of the Gauteng West (D2) District Athletics team and will be participating in the 70m hurdles for girls U/10,” said Mariska.

She added that it’s a great honour and privilege to represent your District at the Provincial Athletics Championship.

The event will take place on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12 at Pilditch Athletics Stadium in Pretoria.

“Westgold is cheering you on all the way, Sam, and we are very proud of what you’ve accomplished.”
