Mobile cars to help children conquer hospital fear at Lenmed

Lenmed Randfontein Private Hospital created Lennie's Brave Mobile for their paediatric patients to feel more at ease when they are admitted.

Lenmed Randfontein Private Hospital recently discovered a new way to make their little patients at the hospital feel more safe and relaxed – Lennie’s Brave Mobile.

Lenmed spokesperson, Ofentse Pharumele explained that the hospital was always looking for new and innovative ways to make their patients comfortable in their facilities because they knew how daunting it could be, especially for their little patients.

Subsequently the hospital created Lennie’s Brave Mobile for their paediatric patients to feel more at ease when they are admitted.

Upon admission kids are escorted by our hospital porters from our reception area to the paediatric unit in the Brave Mobile. This lifts the little ones’ mood, they become less anxious and they start feeling like the hospital is a safe space,” explained Ofentse.

This exciting initiative has already proven to be a hit among the children being admitted – and their parents, and there is no reason for little patients to be scared anymore!
