Police called after fight breaks out at a high school

The Randfontein Police were called to a local school on Friday after a fight had broken out.

Police were called after an altercation broke out at a high school in West Porges on Friday afternoon February 11.

Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks confirmed to the Herald that the fight between two groups of learners erupted on the school grounds at about 13:00.

One group was playing music, and when another group told them they were making a noise a fight broke out,” Sergeant Hendricks said.

“There has been no reports of injuries and no case was opened – for now.”

She further warned all social-media users against spreading fake news, saying, “People must stop sending out wrong information in the media”.
