A 29-year-old was arrested during the festive season for allegedly shooting and killing another man in Kabelo Street, Zenzele.
This after the victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Monday, December 20. Police also discovered two unlicensed firearms which they linked to the incident.
One of the firearms of which the serial number had been filed off as well as a magazine with live ammunition were found in the deceased’s possession, while another firearm was later discovered close to where the shooting happened,” said Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks.
