Quiet end to 2021 and start to 2022 for Mapogo

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security released their latest crime report, which showed that only two incidents were reported to the security company between December 26, 2021 and January 2, 2022.

It was a rather quiet festive season and start to the new year for Mapogo A Mathamaga Security with only two incidents being reported in Randfontein for the period from Sunday, December 26, 2021 to Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Operations manager at Mapogo, Ben Willemse gave a breakdown of the two crime incidents:

• Tuesday, December 28 at 03:34 – Housebreaking and theft at business on Kenneth Road, Greenhills: Intruders broke the window latches and gained entry into the shop and attempted to steal a printer when the alarm activated. They dropped the printer and fled the scene empty-handed.

• Friday, December 31 at 08:02 – Trespassing and arrest at residence on Elaine Avenue, Homelake: A Mapogo client requested assistance as he noticed someone climbing over a neighbour’s wall. The intruder was found where he was hiding, apprehended and then handed over to the police for further investigation.
