Meet Tshegofatso Moeng, a 15-year-old Grade 10 learner at Randfontein High School (RHS) who donated 110 packs of sanitary pads to her former school, Randfontein Primary School (Rem).
Tshegofatso made the donation on Monday November 29 as part of an initiative she’s doing through the Miss Junior Randfontein pageant.
“I understand the struggles young teen girls are going through. They might not have a voice to help themselves but I hear their cries. This was a simple gesture to show I care for my fellow girls,” Tshegofatso said.
Tshegofatso further explained it is very important for young girls to understand that their cycle is completely normal and nothing to be ashamed of.
“This was for all the girls out there! I’m with you every step of the way,” Tshegofatso added.
