RPA Christmas Lights Competition: First entries submitted!

The first three entries of the RPA Christmas Lights Competition are in. Enter now!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and time to light up the town once more!

To celebrate the festive season, the Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) will be hosting their second ever Christmas Lights Competition from December 1 to 31, 2021 and they are inviting everyone from around town to add a sparkle and shine to their homes by decorating the exterior of their homes in lights and decorations to create a festive atmosphere.

So why not take all of those stunning lights out of storage and make your house as festive as possible! This is the perfect opportunity to get your creative juices flowing and to share a little bit of festive cheer after the dreadful year that we’ve had with the pandemic.

The first three entries are:

• 6 Conrad Street, Homelake
• 8 Coetzee Street, Randpoort
• 7 Kingfisher Street, Helikonpark

The first-place winner will receive a hamper to the value of R1 500, the second-place hamper is worth R1 000, and the third-place hamper is valued at R500.

How to enter and vote:

Participants should take a photo of their decorated home at night (exterior only) and WhatsApp it to Joy on 082 852 1860 or email to joy@randfonteininfo.co.za together with their name and physical address by no later than December 31. Early in January 2022, a slide show of officially participating houses will be created on the Randfontein Publicity Association Facebook page, where the public will be asked to cast their votes.

Voters who are not on Facebook can take a photo of the house they consider a worthy winner and WhatsApp it to 082 852 1860 or email to joy@randfonteininfo.co.za. Only one vote per person will be counted. Duplicate votes will not be counted. Voting will close on January 7.

Winners (by majority vote) will be notified telephonically and prizes will be delivered to them. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
