A total of 6 947 795 Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered in the Gauteng Province as of November 29. The total number of individuals vaccinated is at 4 447 653 with 3 685 493 individuals being fully vaccinated.

In the West Rand, which comprises Mogale City, Rand West City and Merafong City, 465 846 vaccinations have been administered, with 248 056 individuals fully vaccinated.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg, 3 019 313 vaccines have been administered with 1 544 103 individuals fully vaccinated.

All persons older than 12 years old are encouraged to visit their nearest vaccination site to receive the jab. It is thought that vaccinating 70% or more of the adult population can minimise the impact of the fourth wave. The Department of Health (DoH) further reminds the public that those who received a two-dose vaccine need to return for their second dose at 42 days.

All Gauteng sites, both private and public, accept walk-ins whether people are registered on the EVDS or not.
