Family reunited after 11 years
Siblings were reunited after years apart and the tears almost started rolling.
How would you describe the joy that you feel when you are reunited with a loved one after more than a decade apart?
The 72-year-old Antoinette Matthysen moved to Wings of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre where she found a new ‘family’ amongst all the residents; but she was in for a surprise when the most unexpected thing happened, something that would change her life that she would remember forever.
Not long after moving in her two brothers, Frank and Lolie da Silva whom she hadn’t seen in 11 years paid her a surprise visit on Sunday, November 14.
Shortly after their visit her sister, Fatima Barnard also came to see her out of the blue on Wednesday, November 17.
This made Antoinette’s day, and she was truly surprised and excited to be reunited with her three siblings after all these years of being apart.
