‘No place for bullies in society’ – Beauty Against Bullies

Members of Beauty Against Bullies, an anti-bullying campaign in schools across South Africa, said there should be no place for bullies in society.

Members of Beauty Against Bullies, an anti-bullying campaign in schools across South Africa, said there should be no place for bullies in society.

During their visit to Randfontein Primary School (Rem) last Thursday November 18, the two ambassadors and public figures in their own respective rights, Sasha-Lee Taylor and Sonet Behr said being part of a campaign that addresses bullying was close to their hearts.

Sasha-Lee, who is an established author and owner of Ace Models in the West Rand said in the sequel to her book titled Learn to Read, Learn to Lead she addresses the issue of bullying holistically.

Bullying was something that I personally had to overcome, therefore I want to share my experience with everyone else. We go to various schools, engage the learners and educate them on what bullying is and how they can overcome it,” Sasha-Lee said.

Sonet Behr, who is an actress, TV presenter, motivational speaker and captain of South African Gladiators, said she was a proud member of Bullies Against Bullies because as a mother, she didn’t want her children to be bullied or be bullies themselves.

She added that being part of the campaign has been quite challenging; seeing what children are going through, especially dealing with those who don’t have anyone to talk to or those who are in rural areas with no facilities at their disposal.
