EPR reveals 27 crime incidents in a week: Theft and break-ins on top of the list

Theft was on top of the list with nine incidents reported, followed by break-ins and damage to property according to EPR Security's latest crime report.

A total of 27 incidents were reported across Rand West City, according to EPR Security’s latest crime report for the period Monday November 8 to Sunday November 14.

According to Johan Krogh, General Manager at EPR, 16 incidents occurred at businesses, followed by nine at places of residence and two at schools.

Theft was on top of the list with nine incidents reported.

Break-ins and damage to property were next on the list, with seven and five incidents respectively.

“We have seen a decline in incidents being reported compared to the previous weeks; however break-ins, theft and damage to property remain of concern. After the past load-shedding wave, we suggest that homeowners and businesses have their alarm systems checked prior to the festive season, especially the batteries,” said Krogh.
