It was yet another busy week for Mapogo A Mathamaga Security with five serious crime incidents being reported in Randfontein for the period from Monday, November 8 to Sunday, November 14.
Operations manager at Mapogo, Ben Willemse gave a breakdown of the crime incidents:
• Monday, November 8 at 09:23 – Theft in Jan Fiskaal Street, Culemborg Park: Intruders entered the property by climbing over the wall. They broke the lock of the Wendy house, took an extension cord and fled the scene.
• Wednesday, November 10 at 06:22 – Housebreaking in Darter Street, Greenhills: Thugs forced open the safety gate and sliding door, but did not take anything and fled the scene.
• Wednesday, November 10 at 14:01 – Housebreaking and theft in Condor Street, Helikon Park: Mapogo officers were informed that there was a break-in at the premises during the early hours of the morning. As per the owner the intruders forced open a kitchen window and burglar bars, and stole a flat-screen TV from the premises.
• Wednesday, November 10 at 00:44 – Housebreaking and theft in Main Reef Road, Randfontein CBD: Mapogo was informed by the client that they had a break-in during the evening where suspects cut the front door locks and stole a CCTV recorder. No signals were received during the incident.
• Friday, November 12 at 04:28 – Theft from motor vehicle in Granaat Street, Greenhills: Thugs entered the premises, placed the gate on manual and stole rims from the Toyota Hilux that was parked inside the property.
