People who never played before introduced to bowls

It was the perfect weather for a game of bowls this past weekend.

Numerous people showed up to test their skills in the sport during Randfontein Bowling Club’s fun day on Sunday, November 7.

Everyone was in good spirits and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the outing.

Bowling club committee member Geoff Behrent said the idea behind the fun days was to try and introduce non-bowlers to the sport by playing the game in a fun format, “… like giving out prizes, and having a social bring and braai. It’s a good, healthy fun day out.”
