Education MEC visits local school to boost matrics’ morale

The Gauteng MEC for Education, Phanyaza Lesufi visited Kgothalang Secondary School.

The Gauteng MEC for Education, Phanyaza Lesufi visited Kgothalang Secondary School in Bekkersdal last week to boost the matrics’ morale ahead of the final exams.

According to the departmental spokesperson Steve Mabona, the purpose of the MEC’s visit was to encourage the learners.

“The MEC decided to adopt the school in an effort to boost its learners’ academic performance. He also met with the school’s School Management Team which presented an update on the academic progress made so far.

“As we’re just days from the 2021 National Senior Certificate final exams, the MEC encouraged matriculants at the school to focus on their preparations to achieve the best possible marks during the exams,” Mabona said.
