Taxi crashes through wall in Friday morning accident

The morning lost its shine when a taxi crashed into a wall at the infamous R28/ R41 intersection in Uitvalfontein on Friday, October 15.

The sunny morning of Friday, October 15 lost its shine when a taxi crashed into a wall at the infamous R28/ R41 intersection in Uitvalfontein.

Herald journalist Michelle Roodt who was on scene before 10:00 said broken glass and pieces of wreckage including a window were scattered on the sidewalk and on the road surface.

She said although an official statement is yet to be released, at this stage it seems that two vehicles were involved – a Toyota Quantum and an Opel Astra station wagon.

Also on scene were, among other, the Rand West City Traffic Department and First Help Towing Services.
