The West Rand has fully vaccinated 154 933 individuals

A total of 5 107436 Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered in the Gauteng Province as at October 11. The total number of individuals vaccinated are at 3 523 373 with 2 458 299 individuals being fully vaccinated.

In the West Rand, which comprises of Mogale City, Rand West City and Merafong City, 327 026 vaccinations have been administered, with 154 933 individuals fully vaccinated. According to the Gauteng Provincial Government, the population of the West Rand now stands at 686 355.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg, 2 261 134 vaccines have been administered with 1 046 842 individuals fully vaccinated. The population of Johannesburg stands at 4 360 765.
