EPR issues warning after attempted break-in in Helikonpark

EPR security management confirmed an attempted break-in at a home in Helikon Park on Tuesday.

EPR Security on the West Rand has asked the public to be vigilant after an attempted break-in was reported at a home on Cormorant Street, Helikon Park on Tuesday, October 12.

EPR General Manager Johan Krogh said the footage of the incident was obtained from their client at the premises on Cormorant Street.

The video shows two people getting out of a silver Volkswagen Polo. Then they walk around the premises, shake the gate and look around.

According to the security company’s official Facebook page, a concerned neighbour phoned the EPR control room, informing them of a VW Polo with at least three people acting suspiciously at a client’s premises.

“On arrival of our response teams within minutes the suspects have fled the premises, most probably due to nearby lookouts keeping the suspects informed via cell phone. Due to the vigilance of the neighbour and the fast response of EPR no further crime was committed on the premises.”
