EPR’s latest crime report reveals another high of 44 incidents in one week

EPR warns crime in Rand West City is still a major concern after another 44 incidents were reported.

A shocking total of 44 incidents were reported across Rand West City, according to EPR Security’s latest crime report for the period from Monday September 27 to Sunday October 3.

EPR general manager Johan Krogh said at least 20 incidents occurred at businesses, followed by 19 at residences, three at schools and two at churches. Theft topped the list, with 10 incidents.

Break-ins were next on the list with six incidents, followed by damage to property with five incidents.

“With 44 incidents reported in the Rand West City area over the last seven days it’s evident that crime in the area is still a major concern. Four robberies and one attempted robbery were reported; however theft and break-ins remain at the top of the list. Residents and business owners are reminded to remain vigilant and to keep security gates locked at all times. Ensure that you have a remote panic button close by, especially at entrances,” stated Krogh.
