Randfontein Police said investigations are underway following the discovery of four bodies in one night.

Two separate murder investigations are underway after the discovery of four bodies in one night near Zenzele.

In the first case, according to Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, three bodies were found by a shepherd next to Flower Road around Luipaardsvlei Farm at about 17:30 on September 30. He immediately informed the police.

The police found three unknown bodies in the field with their hands tied up. Two of them were male and they were naked. The third victim was female and she was wearing blue denim pants, a yellow top and All Star sneakers,” Sergeant Hendricks said.

The bodies were badly decomposed and have since been taken to Roodepoort Government Mortuary.

On the same night at around 20:30, Sergeant Hendricks said another body of a man who had been shot in the head was discovered close to where the other bodies were found earlier.

The victim was wearing a red jersey, black tracksuit pants, and blue and white Adidas trainers.

The motive for the killings is unknown at this stage, and the cases are still under investigation. These bodies have not been identified, and Randfontein Detectives are appealing to the community to come forward to identify their loved ones,” Hendricks said.
