Active Covid-19 cases in Rand West City at 17
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 78 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.
According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 14 258. A total of 13 727 people have recovered so far. There has been 514 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 17.
Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 29 344 and 10 147 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 28 496 and 9 763 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 53 756 with 1 690 deaths and 51 988 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 78.
In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 52 819 and 52 006 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 914 196 with 892 245 recoveries and 19 215 deaths. This translates to 2 736 active cases within the Province.
