Testing and vaccination battle plan continues

Whether you want to get tested for TB, HIV or even Covid-19 or want to get your jab, here are the sites in the West Rand you can visit.

The West Rand District Health Department will be continuing with their vaccination roll-out this week. They said local clinics were also doing vaccinations, making it easier for those who are eligible to get vaccinated.

Nomagugu Hloma, Communication Officer for the West Rand District Health Services, reiterated that all Gauteng sites accept walk-ins, and all that is needed is to bring your RSA ID or valid passport along.

“The West Rand District is encouraging eligible persons also to consider registering on the EVDS before visiting their nearest vaccination site to speed up the process. The Covid-19 vaccine is safe and effective in preventing severe complications and hospitalisation,” she said.

The battle plan will also be continuing and residents can visit any of these sites for various health care services including HIV, TB and cancer screening, testing as well as the Covid-19 vaccination.
