RCA learners advance to next grades

Two RCA learners have advanced to their new grades ... already!

Two learners of Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA) have advanced to new grades after they outdid themselves in the 2021 academic year.

Ten-year-old Kutlwana Nkuna will be proceeding to Grade 5, while her schoolmate, Omogolo Moeng, 8, will be stepping into the Grade 4 classroom.

According to RCA spokesperson Vanessa Dreyer, ACE curriculum doesn’t work year by year, but allows learners to progress academically on their own.

“Both of them have completed their paces so when they’re done with those books for the year, they move on to the next grade – they don’t have to wait for the rest of their peers to finish,” Dreyer said.

She added while both learners have shown unwavering commitment to their studies, parents should also be praised for facilitating conducive environments and helping their children to excel in their schoolwork.

“They’ve worked extremely hard to make sure their work was up to date. If they can keep this up, they’ll be able to finish school much earlier. We’re very proud of them,” Dreyer concluded.
