Armed robbery at high school: Staff including principal tied up

A principal, teacher and other staff were victims of an armed robbery at a local high school on Friday.

AB Phokombe High School in Mohlakeng has been the target of an armed robbery by two armed suspects on Friday, August 13.

Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks confirmed the incident took place at about 14:30.

“The school principal and a teacher were inside an office when the suspects entered and demanded their cell phones.

“The suspects then tied up both the victims with cable ties and ordered them to remain stationary.”
