Active Covid-19 cases in Rand West City now at 115

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 621according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 14 049. A total of 13 434 people have recovered so far. There has been 500 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 115.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 28 652 and 9 851 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 27 515 and 9 362 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 52 559 with 1 625 deaths and 50 313 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 621.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 51 211 and 49 665 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 881 917 with 847 438 recoveries and 17 848 deaths. This translates to 16 631 active cases within the Province.
