Active Covid-19 cases in Rand West City down to 110

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 14 038. A total of 13 428 people have recovered so far. There has been 500 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 110.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 28 623 and 9 840 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 27 485 and 9 350 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 52 508 with 1 622 deaths and 50 265 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 621.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 51 152 and 49 570 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 880 672 with 846 243 recoveries and 17 783 deaths. This translates to 16 646 active cases within the Province.
