Active Covid-19 cases in Rand West City now at 184

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 14 020. A total of 13 341 people have recovered so far. There has been 495 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 184.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 28 542 and 9 817 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 27 264 and 9 271 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 52 386 with 1 608 deaths and 49 878 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 900.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 50 954 and 49 100 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 876 780 with 837 600 recoveries and 17 604 deaths. This translates to 21 576 active cases within the Province.
