The Randfontein Fire and Rescue Services confirmed that a business in the Randfontein CBD caught fire in the early hours of Wednesday, August 4.
According to Bennie Mohlabeng, Regional Commander of the department, an emergency call to the scene was logged at around 00:53.
“We can confirm that there were no injuries; however, the damage to the property was quite extensive. Other shops nearby were also affected by the fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined yet as the matter is still being investigated, ” Mohlabeng said.
