EPR’s latest crime report: 22 incidents, mostly break-ins, domestic violence and damage to property

Break-ins were on top of the list with six incidents being reported, followed by damage to property and domestic violence with three incidents respectively.

A total of 22 incidents were reported across Rand West City, according to EPR Security’s latest crime report for the period from Monday July 26 to Sunday August 1.

According to EPR general manager Johan Krogh at least 13 incidents occurred at residences, followed by nine at businesses.

Break-ins were on top of the list with six incidents being reported.

Break-ins occurred at two businesses on Allen Street, Westonaria; a business on Davies Street, Westonaria; a residence on Mimosa Street, Greenhills; a residence on Lazaar Street, Bootha Plots; and a business on Briggs Street, Westonaria.

Damage to property and domestic violence were next on the list, with three incidents respectively.

“We saw several serious incidents being reported over the past week. We urge residents and business owners to ensure that they remain vigilant,” Krogh said.
