EPR’s latest crime report: 24 incidents, mostly break-ins, theft and damage to property

Break-ins were on top of the list with eight incidents being reported, followed by theft and damage to property with three incidents respectively.

A total of 24 incidents were reported across Rand West City, according to EPR Security’s latest crime report for the period Monday, July 12 to Sunday, July 18.

According to EPR general manager, Johan Krogh at least 13 incidents occurred at residences, followed by ten at businesses and one at a school.

Break-ins were on top of the list, with eight incidents being reported.

Break-ins occurred at a residence on Springbok Street in Greenhills; a residence on Kremetart Street in Homelake; a business on Panya Street in Mohlakeng; a business on Eerste Street in Randfontein; a business on Thebenare Street in Mohlakeng; a residence on Main Street in Blaaubank; and a residence on Mimosa Street in Greenhills.

Theft and damage to property were next on the list, with three incidents respectively.

Despite the unrest that persisted in our country last week, no incidents of rioting or looting were reported within our service area. We remain on high alert and request residents to remain calm but vigilant,” said Krogh.
