In memory of loved ones lost to Covid-19

'The doctor always said he is as strong as an ox, until he landed up in hospital with Covid-19.'

In the past few weeks, many have experienced the loss of friends, family and community members.

Let us not forget them.

• Petrus le Roux:

In the words of his daughter, Liz Stoltz …

My dad was a strong 89-year-old. No blood pressure, no heart problems. The doctor always said he was as strong as an ox, until he landed up in hospital with Covid-19. He passed away on June 27. I miss him so much, his laugh, his hugs and the love that shone through him. My dad was from Hillside plots, but lived at Friendship Haven since March this year. He had children of his own and seven stepchildren. He was also a great, great grandfather.

We invite the community to send us a head-and-shoulders photo of the loved one they have lost to Covid-19, with a small write-up about them. We will publish this on our memorial page.
