This week’s Covid-19 battle plan in Rand West City

The Gauteng Health Department will continue providing pop-up sites for health screening from July 5 to July 9. Here is where they will be in Rand West City.

The West Rand District Health Department extended an invitation to the community to get free Covid-19 tests done at their sites this week.

The department’s communications officer, Nomagugu Hloma said in addition to the coronavirus tests, HIV, TB and blood pressure tests will also be done for free this week from Monday, July 5 until Friday, July 9. The sites are operational from 09:00 until 15:00.

Testing will be done at the following sites:

• Monday, July 5 at Mohlakeng Engen Garage

• Tuesday, July 6 at Randfontein Village Square

• Wednesday, July 7 at Westonaria Shoprite

• Thursday, July 8 at Simunye taxi rank

• Friday, July 9 at Bekkersdal taxi rank

Hloma said on the other days residents can get tested at their local clinics and healthcare facilities.
