2021 Miss West Rand Exclusive: Online entries now open!

The entries for the Miss West Rand Exclusive pageant are now open and all you need to do is send a video.

The entries for the 2021 Miss West Rand Exclusive competition is now open for online entries.

Miss West Rand Exclusive is not just a beauty pageant but also aims at empowering young women through education, entrepreneurship and leadership.

Donald Nyirend, the marketing director, explained how the platform is used to address social ills, and runs programmes for issues such as bullying, substance abuse and gender-based violence.

He said for women to be empowered they need to be taught key skills.

The pageant which was started in 2019 is aimed at young women from the West Rand between the ages of 16 and 27. They provide these women with mentorship programmes and entrepreneurial education, they teach them social responsibilities, and host educational and leadership programmes.

The first step obviously is to enter, which can be done online. This is followed by a voting process and later on the workshops and mentoring programmes before the grand finale.

To enter send a 60-second video to the WhatsApp line on 071 013 9211, give the judges a brief background about yourself, tell them why you think you are the next Miss West Rand Exclusive, and give your reasons for entering. The entry fee is R100.

The winner walks away with a R15 000 cash prize, while the first princess takes home R10 000, and the second princess wins R5 000.
