According to Johan Krogh, General Manager at EPR, 17 incidents occurred at residences, followed by 10 at businesses and two at schools.

Theft was on top of the list with six incidents reported.

Theft occurred at a business in Wheatlands; a plot in Wheatlands; a business on Kenneth Avenue, Greenhills; a residence on Darius Mhlonga Street, Mohlakeng; a business on Banff Road, Glenharvie; and a business on a plot in Middelvlei.

Break-ins and damage to property were next on the list, with five and four incidents respectively.

The past week did not see a decline in incidents. What is noteworthy is that gate motor theft declined, presumably due to the awareness and the circulation of the details of the suspects and their vehicle on social media. Break-ins and theft remain a major concern in the area. “
