An inspirational message from a young actor to Toekies’ youth

'The youth has to focus on what they are destined for and dream big' – 24-year-old.

The young and talented Bramley Mochubela who recently made a cameo on the local TV series Rhythm City wants to be a motivation for other young people.

Hailing from Toekomsrus, Bramley said like many other towns and cities his area also has social ills to overcome, but said, “The youth has to focus on what they are destined for and dream big.

“People are scared they will be judged, which is holding them back. Another factor is simply lacking courage and faith in themselves.”

Bramley explained this happens because youth have a lack of social connection and support from adults to whom they can look up.

“This is where I, Women Against Women and Child Abuse (Wawa) and Toekomsrus Show come in; we want to create a platform where young people can exhibit their talents – whether it’s music, dancing, singing or being a motivational speaker who has a powerful story to tell.”

The 24-year-old said his mission is to influence others in a positive way and discover raw talent.

“I want to create a platform that will empower the youth in my community. I want to make sure that I am needed through God’s hands,” Bramley said.

The youngster said he chose acting to entertain people and that Rhythm City was only the first step.

His special message to the youth for June 16 is, “Never give up on your dreams; always pursue your passion; follow your heart; think positively; and don’t bother what others are saying. Something good will come your way. Always know you can achieve whatever you want in life.”
