A protest action has erupted on Ventersdorp Road towards Brandvlei and residents are advised to use alternative routes.
It is still not yet clear what the protest is about at this stage.

It is, however, clear that the situation is dangerous as community members took to social media just after 6am to issue a warning to motorists.
Some messages read ‘please be careful’, ‘vehicles are being stoned’ and ‘road is blocked with burning tyres’.
