Total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases reported in Rand West City at 6 958

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 168 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 6 958. A total of 6 700 people have recovered so far. 

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 12 575 and 5 101 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 12 132 and 4 824 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 24 641 with 815 deaths and 23 658 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 168.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 20 939 and 20 439 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 419 823 with 406 523 recoveries and 10 525 deaths.
