RCA’s best of the best receive Dux Awards

Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA ) handed Dux Awards to three of its learners for 2020.

Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA ) recently held their Dux Awards for 2020 during a small ceremony on Monday, 19 April.

Vanessa Dreyer, RCA spokesperson said the learners were awarded for showing exceptional performance both on and off the field – and leading by example to others.

“When learners are given this accolade, it means they are exceptional students. In this case, these learners had to participate in various activities and managed to maintain a 95 per cent average in their academics,” Vanessa said, adding that those learners should also be on their best behaviour – no matter the circumstances.

“The word ‘dux’ means ‘leader’ in Latin.”

Vanessa went on to say that Covid-19 had affected their awards ceremony for 2019.

“Despite this, we’d like to thank the parents who had managed to take time to join us as we cerebrate the excellence of our learners. We appreciate their input, support, and their dedication to help the learners achieve this.
