NPO continues saving lives: 365 days on the frontlines

Statistics show the impact made by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers since the pandemic was announced by the president.

After a whole of year of volunteering with over a million hours donated to fighting the pandemic, Scientology Volunteer Ministers reflect on the achievements of the year and its volunteers who have been on the frontlines for over 365 days, conclude that they have helped protect millions of lives and they are resolute to carry on.

Since the beginning of this pandemic in South Africa, the volunteers have been relentless in protecting the nation against this deadly virus and even putting their lives at risk for the safety of all. They have done so by neutralizing the virus in hotspots using an internationally approved decontaminant and providing practical skills training to enable the community to remain safe in times like these.

Asselin stated that, “Despite the risks involved in our line of our work, we have not taken a day off since the beginning to ensure that we save as many lives as possible and we are not intending to stop anytime soon.”

The Gauteng based organization has been active in all provinces of the country and all major hotspots. They also claim to have provided free skills training to thousands in order to empower them to rebuild their lives in these difficult times and know what to do to protect themselves.

We get our humanitarian spirit and our desire to help from the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard, a humanitarian who dedicated his entire life to assist others” added Asselin.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers struck partnerships with hundreds of organisations and government departments in this time to protect as many lives as possible.

We acknowledge your partnership with the government in particular the Department of Social Development led by the Deputy Minister. We are looking forward to a sustained partnership wherein will continue providing support and changing the lives of those most vulnerable during these trying times as we address the challenges brought about by Covid-19, gender-based violence (GBV) and many other social ills.

On behalf of myself, my team and our beneficiaries, we once again express our sincere appreciation for your contribution in moving South Africa forward,” said Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu, Deputy Minister of Social Development.

David Makhura, Premier of Gauteng wrote, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of the people of Gauteng for the fantastic work you have been doing during this time of national disaster to help mitigate the spread of Covid-19 throughout the province of Gauteng”
