Active Covid-19 cases in Rand West City down to 35

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 191 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 6 870. A total of 6 612 people have recovered so far. There has been 223 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 35.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 12 407 and 4 849 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 11 978 and 4 568 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 24 133 with 782 deaths and 23 160 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 191.

 

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 20 587 and 20 129 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 412 106 with 399 450 recoveries and 10 166 deaths. This translates to 2 490 active cases within the Province.
