West Rand actor, singer off to the Big Apple

'I hope to impress judging panels and all the talent scouts that will be there in the US, and book a number of callbacks and make a name for myself in the industry.'

Multi-talented West Rand artist, Siphesihle Falakhe, will hope to impress judging panels and talent scouts in the US soon.

The 24-year-old, who is an aspiring actor and singer from Carletonville, is ascending to the international stage after he charmed judges at the International Model and Talent Showcase (IMTA) held at Silverstar in Krugersdorp during October last year.

He is now preparing to go to New York City in July this year to perform at the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA) convention at the Hilton Hotel in Midtown.

I have always loved singing and acting, even way back in my high school days when I used to do plays in the community hall,” Siphesihle said.

He said just six months after joining 3 And Me Talent Agency, which represents talent in the industry, he went for auditions and came out on top.

However, he said this wouldn’t have been possible without his family’s tremendous support – especially his father, Thobani Petros Madlala.

He said after he has proved to the world what he is made of, he will compose music for an album and produce content from his very own production studio.

As an actor I definitely want to see myself on national and international screens, showcasing my talent and getting lead roles. I want to see myself working with the likes of Ferguson Films, Avengers as well as Tyler Perry.

“I hope to impress judging panels and all the talent scouts that will be there in the US, and book a number of callbacks and make a name for myself in the industry.

“I believe that nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself and have the support around you. I know that telling my story will help inspire others, and hopefully it will help me get all the support I need,” he said.
