Covid-19: Number of active cases in Rand West City now at 151

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 486 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 6 510. A total of 6 167 people have recovered so far. There has been 192 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 151.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 11 817 and 4 408 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 11 284 and 4 155 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 22 742 with 648 deaths and 21 608 recoveries.

 

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 19 579 and 19 246 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 390 890 with 373 726 recoveries and 8 437 deaths.
