A Shoprite voucher to the value of R10 000 was handed over to a Mohlakeng non-profit organisation, Tshemologo Entle last Friday, 15 January.
It was the prize for winning a Lesedi FM competition last year.
Palesa Kgomogoe, founder of the NPO, said she had been funding the organisation out of her own pocket since its establishment in 2017. She described the prize as a huge relief and major boost which is most welcome this time of the year and amid a pandemic.
Our organisation takes care of orphans, pregnant women and anyone in need. We saw an opportunity and entered the competition; we are humbled to have been awarded the prize which will go a long way in assisting the community,” Palesa said.
