Covid-19: Number of confirmed cases in Rand West City now at 6 173
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 21 662 with 566 deaths and 19 243 recoveries.
According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 6 173. A total of 5 408 people have recovered so far.
Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 11 427 and 4 055 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 10 196 and 3 635 recoveries respectively.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 18 767 and 17 605 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 370 264 with 327 569 recoveries and 7 137 deaths.
