According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 5 971. A total of 5 062 people have recovered so far. There has been a total of 155 Covid-19 related deaths.
Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 11 097 and 3 917 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 9 718 and 3 471 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 20 991, with 535 deaths and 18 257 recoveries.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 18 362 and 15 871 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 358 462 with 303 977 recoveries and 6 887 deaths.
