According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 5 807. A total of 4 885 people have recovered so far.
Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 10 857 and 3 865 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 9 463 and 3 388 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 20 535 with 515 deaths and 17 742 recoveries.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 17 813 and 15 203 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 346 482 with 291 957 recoveries and 6 606 deaths.
