A meet and greet with our SPCA

'We are on the verge of closing. We need the community to support us and help any way they can to ensure the SPCA remains open in order to fight animal cruelty' – SCPA.

The weather was perfect for the Randwest SPCA’s fun day held at their premises in Randfontein on Saturday, 12 December.

According to Natasha Willemse, Randwest SPCA committee member, the fun day was also a meet and greet with the community to find potential committee members as well as to educate the public on what the SPCA does and why they need the community.

On arrival, owners and their fur babies were also entertained by an obstacle course and could the pets cool off in a little pool.

“We received more support than with our previous fundraiser but we are still looking for potential committee members urgently,” said Renè van Straten, Randwest SPCA inspector.

She added that you, the community can make a difference to an animal’s life, be the voice of the voiceless, save the Rand West SPCA and make it sustainable.
