One killed, seven injured in N12 accident

Three-vehicle crash on N12 leaves one dead, seven injured says ER24.

One person died and seven others were injured in a three-vehicle collision along the N12 between Carletonville and Fochville over the weekend.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said shortly after 1am on Sunday, 29 November, paramedics from ER24 and various other services attended the scene where they found three vehicles involved in a collision.

Upon assessment, they found that one person was trapped underneath one of the vehicles. Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries before paramedics’ arrival on the scene.

“Seven others were treated on the scene for injuries ranging from minor to moderate. They were all transported to Carletonville Hospital for further care.”

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are not known. Local authorities attended the scene.
