Funds raised for cash-strapped baby sanctuary

This was an initiative by Jadian Jordaan, a finalist for Mr Petite 2020 who teamed up with his mother, Marise Perold.

Many cupcakes were sold to raise funds for Just In Time Baby Sanctuary at Tambotie Mall on Saturday, 31 October – 170 to be exact.

This was an initiative by Jadian Jordaan, a finalist for Mr Petite 2020 who teamed up with his mother, Marise Perold.

Marise said she was proud to support her son in this community project.

According to her, she spent hours baking 200 cupcakes in total – all in an effort to help the cash-strapped sanctuary.

“All we want to do is help as much as we can,” Marise said.

Georgina Caetano, founder of the Just In Time Baby Sanctuary was grateful for the donation and said it was very heartwarming to see people responding in such a positive way.

“We are very chuffed and very grateful to the community for showing us support because this is not a small task. It is hard work to have such an outreach like today. We appreciate all the help,” Georgina said.

She went on to thank Marise and Jadian.

“Marise does not only support us with birthdays for our children, but she is always committed to doing outreach initiatives like this one,” Georgina added.
