Three RCA learners excel despite Covid-19 mayhem

The trio will start in their new grades on Thursday, 1 October.

Three learners of Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA) have done the school and their parents proud by advancing to their next respective grades in what is considered to be a record time.

Kutlwano Nkuna and Lethabo Tyobeka, both aged nine, are moving to Grade 4 while Omogolo Moeng, 7, will be in Grade 3. The trio will start in their new grades on Thursday, 1 October.

Vanessa Dreyer, RCA spokesperson congratulated the learners on their achievement and thanked their parents for their support and the role they played in their children’s studies despite a challenging academic year.

These learners didn’t relax at home but they pushed harder. We are even prouder of them because this year could have given them an excuse to relax, but they didn’t. They showed commitment in their academics and have now reaped rewards,” Vanessa said.

She added the three learners are a shining example of what responsible learners should do.

“Parents played a big role and continued to be consistent with their kids – this is a strong support system. We are glad that these parents didn’t leave everything in the hands of the school.

“They continued to monitor their children’s academic progress and helped to facilitate conducive environments for them to flourish; especially during the Covid-19 mayhem,” Vanessa concluded.
